New Delhi: Hours after Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday (January 27, 2021) threatened to make the disputed Belagavi district a part of Maharashtra, the Karnataka Dy CM Ashwathnarayan said that we are all Indians.
Whoever lives in Karnataka is a Kannadiga. We re the only state to constitute a (Development) board for Marathi speakers welfare. It s unfair to create an issue unnecessarily. We re all Indian, Ashwathnarayan told ANI.

Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday hit out at BS Yediyurappa-led Karnataka government for deliberately changing the name of the disputed Belagavi district to Belgaum. The CM said his government would move the Supreme Court and urge it to declare the disputed area as a Union Territory as long the case is in court.
The Maharashtra CM held a meeting with the High Power Committee constituted for the border dispute with Karnataka. ....

Bengaluru: Hours after Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray accused the Karnataka government of deliberately changing the name of the disputed Belagavi district to Belgaum, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Laxman Savadi on Wednesday demanded that Mumbai should be included as a part of the southern state.
While demanding that the financial capital of the country be made a part of Karnataka, Savadi said, The people of this region, as well as I, demand that Mumbai should be included in Karnataka. Until that is done, I demand the Central government to declare Mumbai as a Union Territory. ....
