CHATHAM, Va. — Pittsylvania County Schools Superintendent Dr. Mark Jones announced during Tuesday evening’s school board meeting that the schools will return to a normal daily schedule for the 2021-2022 school year. 
With the first day of school as August 10, and teachers returning August 3, he said that all students will be in the classroom five days per week come fall.
“Students will change classes,” Jones said. “They’ll go to lunch. This is the same type of schedule they had two years ago.”
For those students who wish to remain virtual, there will be a limited virtual option available through Virtual Virginia with strict guidelines for students. Students must have earned a C in all classes taken in the 2020-2021 school year, must maintain a C in all classes taken in virtual school in the 2021-2022 school year, must have internet access and must meet all Virtual Virginia requirements.  ....
