A LEADING respiratory consultant at Inverclyde Royal has paid a heartwarming tribute to the local community as he hangs up his stethoscope. Dr Dave Sharma, who has helped thousands of sufferers of lung disease and conditions caused by asbestos during 30 years at the hospital, says it is a place like no other. In his last year before retiring the 55-year-old faced one of his biggest challenges, as he joined the fight to keep Covid-19 patients alive.
