The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority Board has approved a two-year contract for current CEO Scott Avedisian.

Senate President Dominick Ruggerio says it’s time to put RIPTA under the structure of RIDOT, which is more fully integrated into state government

Under the proposal, Avedisian will get a 2% raise, the same pay hike RIPTA bus drivers received in their most recent union contract.
