Late Negros Occidental governor cited for marine conservation efforts

BACOLOD CITY – The late Negros Occidental Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. received a posthumous award for his dedication and efforts for the marine conservation program in Sagay City and the creation of the 32,000-hectare Sagay Marine Reserve in the 1970s.
