Maddie's Mitten March hosts winter gear giveaway Jan. 3 When Maddie Bozik was 10 years old, she began collecting winter gear for those in need. A few years later, Maddie's Mitten March raised enough money to buy an old school bus, even though the North Aurora teen wasn't old enough to drive.   Updated 12/31/2020 1:25 PM Maddie's Mitten March will host a winter-gear giveaway with coats, hats and gloves from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, outside the North Aurora Police Department, 200 S. Airport Road. People in need are invited. Maddie's Mitten March, a North Aurora-based nonprofit, will distribute gear from a converted passenger bus. Only one family at a time will be allowed on the bus and anyone entering the bus must wear a mask.
