　　在多人的传统印象中，从西北内陆兰州要出口物资到马来西亚，是不可想象的事情，如今一条西部陆海新通道不仅让这种“不可想象”变为现实，而且还显示出独特的优势。
　　7月8日下午，在第二十七届中国兰州投资贸易洽谈会“西部陆海新通道与国家物流(兰州)枢纽建设论坛”上，北部湾港集团党委书记、董事长李延强在演讲时披露――“作为最早开通至北部湾港海铁联运班列省份之一的甘肃，自2017年以来，双方合力开行班列172列，其中，今年上半年开行115列，占前四年的66.8%，呈现出高速增长态势。这个成绩的取得，主要得益于兰州海铁联运比传统路径节省约5天，一个外贸标准集装箱从兰州出口至马来西亚，从北部湾港出口的海铁联运全程运输时间，既比走传统路径快5天，又可节省费用约900元，具有极大的经济成本优势。”
　　在当天的论坛上，行业专家、学者及相关企业负责人以“加强枢纽集疏联动构建物流新发展格局”为主题，围绕深度融入国家“一带一路”建设，联通国家物流(兰州)枢纽网络等内容进行了深入探讨。
　　西部陆海新通道是在中新（重庆）战略性互联互通示范项目框架下，由中国西部省份与新加坡合作打造的陆海贸易新通道。这条通道以重庆为运营中心，甘肃、广西、贵州等为关键节点，利用铁路、海运、公路等运输方式，向南经广西北部湾通达世界各地，运行时间比经东部地区出海大幅缩短，因此受到沿线地区的高度关注与积极参与。
　　论坛上，商务部亚洲司副司长韦彦说，“目前，西部陆海新通道服务网络覆盖越南、老挝、缅甸、泰国、柬埔寨、马来西亚、新加坡等东南亚地区，为我国构建陆海内外联动、东西双向互济的开放格局作出了重要贡献。”
　　甘肃是国家向西开放的重要门户，具有承东启西、连南通北的区位优势,既是西北地区铁路、公路、航空、水运、管道、电网兼备的综合性交通运输枢纽，也是我国通向中亚西亚的交通、邮电通讯和能源的运输大通道，更是与欧亚各国经贸往来、文化交流的重要走廊。
　　近年来，甘肃突出西部陆海新通道牵引作用，积极推进口岸平台建设，全面提升国际货运能力，相继建成和投运了一批重大基础项目和对外开放平台。目前，“中吉乌”等中亚、南亚国际货运班列已实现常态化运行，初步形成了东进西出、南来北往、陆海联运的交通物流新格局。
　　陆海新通道运营有限公司董事长王渝培在主题演讲时表示，我国的经济发展经过了沿海港发展、大城市集中发展的阶段，当前正在形成以“京津冀”、“粤港澳”、“长三角”、“成渝”等核心城市群为支撑的发展模式。陆海新通道联通兰州―西宁城市群、成渝双城经济圈、北部湾城市群、粤港澳大湾区等，未来将形成串联多个城市群的经济走廊发展模式，这是经济发展规律的必然选择，也是深入贯彻落实新时代国家整体战略的重大举措。
　　近年来，甘肃紧紧围绕打造“枢纽”制高点，突出西部陆海新通道的牵引作用，加快完善综合交通运输体系，积极推进口岸平台建设，全面提升国际货运能力，宝兰高铁、兰渝铁路、十天高速等一批重大基础项目相继投运,兰州综合保税区、东川铁路物流中心、兰州汽车整车进口口岸等一批对外开放平台陆续建成,“中吉乌”等中亚、南亚国际货运班列实现常态化运行,已经初步形成了东进西出、南来北往、陆海联运的交通物流新格局。
　　多年来，天津港一直高度重视对甘肃省的港口物流服务保障，在网络布局、通道建设、服务支持等方面持续发力，提升服务和保障水平。目前，天津港与甘肃省政府部门及企业合作，通过构建物流网络和通道，延伸港口服务，有效减少了物流环节、加快了货物周转、降低了物流成本，提升了甘肃本地的物流业服务水平。未来，两地将继续优化经济发展环境，促进东西互动和区域经济协调发展，为甘肃省的外向型经济发展提供便捷的桥梁和窗口。天津港集团副总裁许旭波论坛上表示，“甘肃是古丝绸之路的黄金通道，交通和战略区位优势突出，千百年来承载着畅通中原地区与我国新疆及中西亚地区物流、贸易、文明互联互通的重要使命。天津港是近现代服务甘肃省向东出海的传统港口，在国家‘一带一路’倡议下，甘肃与天津作为新丝绸之路经济带和21世纪海上丝绸之路的关键支点，多年来携手共济，连通陆海，服务东西相融，促进协调发展。”
