Police detained a man after another man was shot downtown Saturday
Jacksonville police took a man into custody after a predawn shooting left another man with life-threatening injuries downtown Saturday. The victim was shot about 4:15 a.m. in the 100 block of North Julia Street. He had several gunshot wounds, the Sheriff's Office said. The Sheriff's Office said officers detain a suspect at the scene but released no other information. According to the JSO, the shooting happened at about 4:15 a.m. in the 100 block of North Julia Street. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from several gunshot wounds.
