“If we don’t fix the old infrastructure we have now, it will cost way more down the road and lead to more problems in the meantime. We have miles of pipes that are 100 years old,” said City Council President Kevin McCardle on investing in infrastructure projects.

While the groundwater storage tank project was initially estimated to cost around $5 million, Public Works Director Joe Schroeder said a new chemical feed and pump facility has increased the cost of the project to roughly $11 million.
