Outdoornews April 5, 2021 (Photo by Bob Drieslein) The North Dakota Game and Fish Department’s 2020 bighorn sheep survey, completed by recounting lambs in March, revealed a record 322 bighorn sheep in western North Dakota, up 11% from 2019 and 13% above the five-year average. The count surpassed the previous record of 313 bighorns in 2008. Altogether, biologists counted 97 rams, 170 ewes and 55 lambs. SISK Bismarck Tribune Firefighters on Easter continued battling wildfires in Theodore Roosevelt National Park in western North Dakota, amid tinder-dry conditions and record heat. Medora, which was evacuated for a time on Friday, was no longer in danger. The state Forest Service reported Sunday that the fire started by a sagging power line on Friday was about 85% contained. KITCHENER -- Pharmacies in Waterloo Region are now booking appointments to administer COVID-19 vaccines. The province released an expanded list of pharmacies offering the AstraZeneca vaccine on Thursday. The age eligibility to 55.
