Firefighters salute deputy chief lost to COVID
HAVERFORD âFirefighters buried one of their own Friday. Oakmont Fire Co. Deputy Chief Nick Sava, 65, expired on Dec. 14 from complications of COVID-19. Sava, who had been in excellent health, had been hospitalized at Bryn Mawr Hospital for 10 days before his death. âNick has long been an active and dedicated volunteer at Oakmont, serving in multiple leadership positions, up to the rank of deputy chief.
