A federal judge has declined to grant a petition by the Catoosa County Republican Party to restrict candidates they don’t feel represent the party’s values from the ballot.
The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office and Corrections Health briefed the Board of Commissioners on recent steps taken to prevent in-jail deaths on April 23, after seven inmates died in Multnomah County jails between May and October of 2023.
The lawsuit, filed by Douglas and El Paso counties, seeks damages regarding House Bills 19-1124 and 23-1100. The bills prevent local governments from cooperating with the federal government on immigration matters.
