I still have hope. And thats what drives me to work harder with all of my colleagues, to succeed in putting an end to this war, to have a ceasefire, and to be able to send humanitarian assistance up to the needs of the people in the gaza strip and to prevent a forced Mass Transfer to egypt. I mean, nobody would doubt that, for the 2 million and more palestinians who live in gaza and of course the 100 or so hostages who are being held in the tunnels in gaza as well, every day is a day of extreme suffering. The problem is, if one looks at the talks and what is being said about the talks, there appears to be very little ground for optimism. For example, the israelis say no way will they even countenance a stop to their

Whats daily life like in gaza and the west bank at present . Going to the bread queues, to the soup queues where children are struggling to get to the front of the queue before the food runs out. Peace in gaza and in ukraine. What might it look like . How might it happen . It can be because they think that, actually, if they carry on fighting, they might get on the losing side, and they want to make the leap before the situation turns against them. And the closest china gets to a parliament is gathering in beijing. Will it actually decide anything . I think a lot of analysts in particular like to read kind of Smoke Signals and the kind of subtle clues in what people are wearing or where peo ....

The link between c02 and rising temperatures is well established and this year Global Temperatures got an extra boost thanks to el nino, which brings warmer water to the surface of parts of the tropical pacific. That explains why february was 1. 77 degrees warmer than preindustrial temperatures, and why global average temperatures hit a record 1. 55 degrees above preindustrial levels over the last 12 months. It means we have temporarily at least breached the 1. 5 degrees threshold the world agreed to try and limit temperature rise to, to avoid the worst impacts of Climate Change. February 2024 was the warmest february on record globally, with an average temperature of 13. 54 degrees, above the 1991 2020 temperature. While this is remarkable, because, for instance, it is a tenth of a degree warmer than the warmest previous february, which was 2016, its not really surprisi ....
