At its monthly meeting Tuesday, the Rochelle Elementary School District Board of Education gave its permission to District Business Manager Kevin Dale to begin the borrowing process to finance facilities improvements after it was recently found that Tilton School is in need of $8-12 million in work to bring it up to code and date.
On Aug. 8 at approximately 10:23 a.m. deputies initiated a traffic stop on Illinois Route 64 near Mulford Road. After a brief investigation, deputies arrested Nicholas Adams, 41, of Rockford, for no valid driver's license. Adams was released on scene with a return court date. Adams was additionally cited for expired registration.

On Aug. 9 at 7:31 a.m. a 16-yeaer-old juvenile of Rochelle was cited for speeding. He signed a promise to comply and was given a Sept. 8 Rochelle court date.
