Hadassah Medical Center made headlines on Wednesday when its surgeons accomplished an extraordinary feat: reattaching the head of a 12-year-old boy to his neck following a severe bicycle accident involving a car.
The boy was hit by a car while riding his bike and suffered an internal decapitation but his head was re-attached during miraculous surgery.
Suleiman Hassan, a 12-year-old Palestinian from the West Bank, suffered what is known as an internal decapitation, with his skull detached from the top vertebrae of his spine.
