Apr 8, 2021 WARREN — Mayor Doug Franklin said he is confident that an application for $2.5 million to abate the asbestos in the former St. Joseph Riverside Hospital on Tod Avenue will be granted by the Ohio Development Services Agency. Franklin said the city expects to hear in May if the money will be granted. If it is, it will put the city on track for the demolition of the “eyesore,” Franklin said.
