Children services in need of funding for foster care program
Local department asking for an additional $200,000 as expenses and number of children in program rise
JFS Director Danny Brenneman will speak Thursday about children services funding issues to an Ohio House subcommittee.
At the end of 2020, there 66 kids in foster care in the county, the most ever, and up from 58 in 2019.
Costs for keeping children in foster care has gone from $1.56 million in 2019 to $2.25 million in 2020.
