But the main character, Zombie Mombie, in her children’s book “Zombie Mombie Saves the Day” is a nod to Lucero’s life as a mother and military spouse through multiple deployments. She admits, too, she has a white dress and a cape similar to the one Zombie Mombie wears on the cover. Her husband, Chris Lucero, has served in the Army since he was 18. The Valparaiso residents and former Crestview residents have three kids: Sophia, 11; Lyra, 9; and Cayden, 7. You have been selected by your peers as someone trustworthy, a good listener, Peggy Brockman told the Hope Squad at the Meigs event. Franks read a city proclamation and urged the Hope Squad members to continue taking action to prevent suicide. You matter, you are our future, and you are making a difference, he said.
