As it stands, the Cowboys are eligible to participate in the 2021 NCAA Tournament. The only thing that might change that is if the NCAA moves to rule Oklahoma State ineligible for the postseason, a ban that dates back former assistant Lamont Evans allegedly taking $22,000 in bribe money. In all, it’s a total mess – on the both the NCAA’s side and out in Stillwater. “It’s a clear case of the NCAA Committee on Infractions over-punishing Oklahoma State because of the actions of one person,” said ESPN analyst Jay Bilas during Oklahoma State’s road game at No. 3 Baylor Thursday. “South Carolina had the same issue with [Lamont Evans] and they got two years of probation. From Yahoo Sports: “The Tournament of Roses says in its suit that the city doesn’t have ownership of the Rose Bowl trademarks and comes as the group and the city have been negotiating about the ownership of the trademarks.” ....
