National final season continues to pick up pace, as for the first time this year we have more than two shows to deal with in one night. Here are all the details you need for 2021’s third Saturday of national selections. We’ll be checking in with semi-finals in Norway and Lithuania and a final in France. Norway Melodi Grand Prix Semi-Final 3 - Aussievision s winner This weekend is the third semi-final of Norway’s national selection of Melodi Grand Prix. Earlier this week NRK revealed four artists that are competing in the third round and the Aussievision team have voted on our favourite entries. The songs were released on Spotify (you can access here) and the Aussievision team each chose their favourite entries in this weekend’s semi-final. Here are the results: 1st: Ole Hartz - ‘Vi er Norge’ (11 votes) Emma: I m so pleased to see a patriotic sea shanty in MGP this year. It stands out a mile over the other three entries of which I really wasn t a fan. With great production and a catchy chorus this would be a great addition to the final and may pull the votes with the older viewers even though I give it no chance of actually representing Norway at Eurovision.” ....
Norway s Melodi Grand Prix - Semi-Final 3 artists and songs revealed The Norwegian national final Melodi Grand Prix continues this weekend, with the third heat of five set to take place on Saturday (Sunday morning Australian time). Norway s state broadcaster, NRK, has released the list of artists and titles behind the songs competing in this weekend s third heat, and the songs have also been released on Spotify. Check them out below: Dinaye - Own Yourself (Music and lyrics: Christian Ingebrigtsen, David Thulin and Dina Matheussen (Dinaye)) 17-year-old Dinaye is no stranger to Melodi Grand Prix, having reach the final of the junior version (MGPjr) in 2016. She previously competed as a dancer on Norway s Got Talent, and in 2020 competed on the Norwegian version of the Idol franchise. Own Yourself is co-written by Dinaye and features lines in Amharic, reflecting her Ethiopian heritage. ....
Already in Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix 2021 semi-finals, two acts have earned a place in the grand final and three automatic finalists have performed their songs. Now broadcaster NRK has revealed the next four acts who will face the vote in Saturday’s third semi-final of MGP 2021. The competing acts are Ole Hartz, Dinaye, Emmy and Big Daddy Karsten.
