Because the story itself. and another thing happens and yourjaw is still on the ground. and you think, no, no that can t have happened. and then, no, he really did that! it s remarkable. at the end of the film there are little bits of actual news footage which you go, no, this did happen and this that you think can t possibly have happened did happen. i also think it s heart s the right place. there s a lovely moment later on in which he gives a speech about the things that are important to him. honestly, you d have to have a heart of stone not to be moved by it. it s charming. i agree. some people might say it s schmaltzy , but there s a lot in there about family and i liked that. and i like schmaltz if it s done well, i like schmaltz and i like sentimentality. and like you, i like to laugh and i like to cry, and the film made me do both of these things. i really enjoyed it. so also paris 13th district, which is the new film byjacques audiard. the french title for this is les olymp ....
