Love, Martin, and Grimes Named ACC Performers of the Week
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –The Atlantic Coast Conference recognized three Florida State track and field athletes as performers of the week, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday. Shanice Love earned Women’s Co-Field Performer of the Week, Jo’Vaughn Martin named Men’s Co-Track Performer of the Week and Isaac Grimes as Men’s Field Performer of the Week.
Love shares Women’s Performer of the Week honors with Jill Shippee of North Carolina. The Kingston, Jamaica native discus throw of 59.82m (196-3) at the North Florida Invitational leads the ACC and ranks third in the nation. Her first-place throw ranked ahead of Olympian Shadae Lawrence and 31 other throwers in the talented field. ....
