Fayette Sheriff Makes Arrests in Misc. Incidents A one-vehicle accident early this morning (Thursday, May 27) near Sumner, has resulted in the arrest of the driver. Shortly after 12:30am, the Fayette County Sheriff received a report of a vehicle in the ditch on 160th Street, a mile east of Sumner. There were no injuries reported. An Iowa City rollover accident has led to the arrest of a Coralville man. First responders were called to the intersection of Highway 6 and Riverside Drive just after 2am Friday for a 2009 Pontiac G6 that had rolled over. The driver and sole occupant, later identified as 24-year-old Gage Meyers of East 7 th Street, fled the scene before officers could arrive. Police say they located Meyers a short distance away, and that he admitted to being the driver of the vehicle. 5/22/21 A Kalona man has been arrested after North Liberty Police say he drove his minivan into a ditch while drunk. Officers responded to the accident scene near the corner of Forevergreen Road and Jasper Avenue just after 11:15 Friday night. The 2003 Ford Windstar was found in the ditch with beer cans scattered throughout the vehicle.
