2/20/21 A one-vehicle accident south of Ely sent a pickup truck into a Johnson County creek and led to the arrest of a Buchannan County man late Thursday night. Johnson County sheriff’s deputies located a 2017 Ford F250 Super Duty on its side in Hoosier Creek, near the intersection of Naples Avenue and Hoosier Creek Road, just after 11:45 Thursday night. Sheriff is Investigating Several Winter Traffic Accidents The Fayette County Sheriff notes that they responded to several accidents involving vehicles that slid into ditches in rural parts of the county. The first one happened at about 3:30pm Thursday (Feb. 11), when a pickup driven by 43 year old Kyley Bathke of Wadena, went out of control and entered a ditch, in the 16,000 block of Fox Road, west of Wadena. At approximately 10:30 am., Trooper Tia Hunt responded to a semi tractor trailer parked on the shoulder of I-65 Northbound near the 53 mile marker, just north of Seymour, Indiana. When Trp.
