A one-vehicle accident south of Ely sent a pickup truck into a Johnson County creek and led to the arrest of a Buchannan County man late Thursday night.
Johnson County sheriff’s deputies located a 2017 Ford F250 Super Duty on its side in Hoosier Creek, near the intersection of Naples Avenue and Hoosier Creek Road, just after 11:45 Thursday night. Investigators say 28-year-old Kyle Stonebraker of Lamont, Iowa admitted to being the driver. Stonebraker allegedly admitted to drinking and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. His blood alcohol content as measured at .189% on a portable Breathalyzer test and .177% on a Datamaster. ....
