Girl Scouts San Diego helped kick off National Military Appreciation Month with the Operation Thin Mint Sendoff and Family Festival Saturday aboard the USS Midway Museum. More than 1,500 people were in attendance to help mark 23 years of Operation Thin Mint, a service project that started here in San Diego.
