Researchers at the Superior Institute of Engineering of Porto (ISEP) have developed portable sensor and biosensor platforms that allow detecting emerging contaminants such as antibiotics, hormones, antidepressants or anti-inflammatory drugs in water and fish.
In a statement, ISEP says that portable sensor and biosensor platforms to quantify in loco and at low cost the emerging contaminants in fishery products and waters are being developed by researchers as part of the CECs (Bio)Sensing project.

ZAGREB (Croatia), February 4 (SeeNews) - Croatian civil engineering company Ingra [ZSE:INGR-R-A] said it has signed a deal with Slovenian public utility and construction company Kostak worth 33.3 million kuna ($5.3 million/4.4 million euro). 
Under the contract signed on February 1 Ingra will perform part of the construction and installation works in a project for the construction of water utility infrastructure of the agglomeration Jelsa - Vrboska and Stari Grad, the Croatian company said in a statement on Wednesday.
Ingra is required to complete all works by June 30, 2023, it added. ....
