More impaired drivers means more danger on Stark County roads

Gov. Mike DeWine lifted the COVID-1 curfew, but it may be safer to just stay home. Especially in Stark County where fatal crashes involving impaired drivers jumped last year and the increase was more than four times higher than the rest of the state — despite fewer drivers on the road. Statewide, there were 1,152 fatal crashes last year, up 10.6% from the previous year, according to the Ohio Department of Public Safety's Ohio Traffic Safety Office.
