Between April 25 and May 1, the state reported 85 new cases of COVID-19 in Volusia and Flagler schools — for a total of 2,880 cases since Sept 6.

This week, the Volusia County school district announced it will welcome volunteers back to campuses on a limited bases as well as permit some academic field trips. Large events like proms and graduation bashes are still not allowed. Flagler County's spring break was the week of March 15 and Volusia's was last week.
