Multiple crashes, slide-offs reported east of Boise
Updated: 2:08 PM MST December 22, 2020 BOISE, Idaho — One person is dead after two-vehicle crash involving a pickup and a semi truck on Interstate 84 east of Boise Tuesday morning. According to Idaho State Police, the wreck was reported at 8:46 a.m. near milepost 71, the Orchard Access Road. Investigators say 67-year-old John Wheeler of Boise was westbound in a 2007 Mazda B2300 pickup when he crossed into the eastbound lanes and collided with a 2001 Peterbilt semi pulling a trailer driven by 44-year-old Christian Giesbrecht of Pocatello.
