Addimando is now in Bedford Hills Correctional Facility. Addimando never denied shooting Grover, but claimed she did so in self-defense, after years of physical and emotional abuse. She was convicted in April 2019 and sought lenient sentencing under the Domestic Violence Survivors Justice Act. That was denied by Judge Edward McLoughlin, who had heard the case and ultimately sentenced her.
