Not many events planned for 2020 actually happened. Most were canceled or rescheduled. But, one event, unique to our area, did manage to take place as scheduled – The Louisiana Renaissance Festival.
Thanks to the hard work and determination of Ren Fest co-founder Alvon Brumfield and his crew, the festival was able to open in a way that was safe during this time of COVID.
Entering this year’s festival, which was open every weekend from Nov. 7 until December 13th, I was greeted by Jamie Rhoton. Attending the first aid station with Bobby Carter, Jamie was welcoming guests and counting admission numbers to ensure safety. ....
