ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Wednesday chaired a meeting to hold consultations on the economic challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, national security and regional situation.During the meeting, the foreign minister said the coronavirus pandemic has impacted the powerful economies of the world, and as a developing country, Pakistan is also facing a big challenge. Considering the situation, the country is specially focusing upon its priorities of regional situation and economy, he said.

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s spokesperson Nadeem Afzal Chan has resigned from his position, media reports said on Friday.
He supposedly took the decision over differences with the party that included the week-long delay by the PM to meet families of the Machh massacre victims.
“I have resigned from the position of spokesperson to the Prime Minister,” said Chan in a tweet as quoted by Dawn News.
Chan’s resignation came a day after Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed annoyance during a cabinet meeting that some of its members were opposing the government’s decisions and asked them to either accept the same or tender a resignation, reports Dawn News. ....
