David Radut died on Saturday afternoon after jumping into the River Tyne at Ovingham Bridge in Northumberland.
Emergency services launched a search of the River Tyne on Saturday, after two teenage boys got into trouble in the water.
The two boys went missing in the water near Ovingham Bridge in Northumberland after getting into difficulty in water.
The 14-year-old's body was found in the River Tyne and the younger boy was rescued and taken to hospital.
