SRINAGAR: Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) ON day in a statement said that untill recently, the children were not seriously implicated by covid-19 and this was the biggest psychological relief for parents and doctors. There were only a few documented cases worldwide, and most cases were asymptomatic. However, the second wave of Covid-19 has came with different aggression, a high rate of transmission changed the spectrum of illness and the virus is impacting kids significantly. President Doctors Association Kashmir, Dr Suhail Naik said that due to continuous viral replication, the virus develops different changes in its genetic code called as mutations, and subsequent alterations in its antigenic structure and virulence factors. ....
SRINAGAR: Expressing concern over the laidback attitude of people of Jammu and Kashmir in dealing with the 2nd wave of Corona Virus pandemic the Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) today said that “people are not following Covid appropriate behaviour and health advisories issued by experts in this regard”. President DAK, Dr Suhail Naik said, that “people in Kashmir region have stopped taking the precautionary measures seriously which may be disastrous.” He further said, “the same may become a huge problem in the valley in view of 2nd wave and with evidence of rising in coronavirus deaths and positive cases in Jammu & Kashmir.” ....
SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Doctors Coordination at Committee(JKDCC) which is an amalgam of various doctors associations, today in a statement showed indignation against undue interference by revenue officials in day to day hospital affairs. Dr M Y Tak Convenor JKDCC said, “administration has badly failed during this winter’s snowfall and got itself buried as the snow was not cleared from the roads, lanes and by-lanes for days together.
