Vara Winery & Distillery's head distiller, Martin Ulloa, took the title on season six, episode eight of the popular Discovery Channel show, which aired on April 23 and can be streamed on Prime Video.
Vara Winery & Distillery recently opened a new tasting room at 201 Hermosa Drive NE. The space, formerly known as Public House wine bar, has been transformed into a Vara wonderland filled with its wide array of wines and spirits. It also offers High & Dry Brewing craft beer, according to JP Clement, Vara CEO and general manager.
New to VARA's spirit lineup are Painted Sky Vodka and Estrella Blanca Rum. The new products join VARA's acclaimed High Desert Gin and Corona de Oro Rum.
