A YOUTH theatre are hosting a free virtual performance to keep festive spirits high and keep live performance alive. Burnley Youth Theatre are letting families experience theatre from the comfort of their home in a winter production of Jack and the Beanstalk. Produced by Byteback Theatre Company and written and directed by Rachael Bamber, the show also features shadow puppetry by Taylor Barnes. The performance will be just under 30 minutes followed by the chance to interact with storyteller and actor Ollie Daley. Artistic Director and Chief Executive of Burnley Youth Theatre, Karen Metcalfe said: We are so pleased to finally be able to rehearse and stage a theatre production after so many months. Of course, this year’s Christmas production is very different to our normal shows as instead of the audience coming to our theatre, our production is going to them live via zoom into their classrooms and living rooms.
