Some of the púcaí in Púcaí s Lane are coming out of the shadows these days thanks to artist Clodagh Murphy who is spending long hours, between the showers, adding detail to her paintings of underworld creatures. Over the past few years Púcaí s Lane has become a centre of street art, as local artists such as Ciara McKenna, Dómhnal Ó Bric and Áine Ní Chiobháin contributed paintings with Irish mythology forming the general theme. Clodagh, who lives in Brandon, added a púca peering out from the long grass to the art collection in the lane but she felt that the painting, which was started two years ago, wasn t quite complete. However, with the coronavirius lockdown giving her more time on her hands she has now returned to add detail that brings her characters to life. ....
