Aluva West police arrested two persons for allegedly trying to sell LSD stamps ahead of New Year celebrations in Kochi. Sixty-five LSD stamps were seized as part of Operation Clean by the Ernakulam rural police.
According to the latest report by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), 22% of the 301 burglaries reported in Ludhiana in 2022 took place during the day. Ludhiana recorded the highest number of burglaries in the state, followed by Bathinda and Patiala. The number of burglaries in Ludhiana increased by 2.73% compared to the previous year. The report also highlights the high number of daytime robberies in Ludhiana. The police have been cracking down on these crimes by increasing patrolling and installing CCTV cameras. Residents are advised to take precautions, especially while going out of the city for a holiday.
