Dr. Douglas Carlson admitted that having a child in the hospital can be some of the most stressful times for parents.
It s a place for people and families and kids from our smallest infants to our near adult size teenagers to come to get better each day, said Carlson, the medical director of the children s hospital. It s helping heal them emotionally and mentally and that s what s so important about this healing garden.
A $1 million pledge from Panda Express’ philanthropic foundation announced by hospital officials at an official ribbon cutting Wednesday turned it into the Panda Cares Center of Hope.
