ashley: good morning, everyone. that is thursday. we have a lot happening at the weather department. cold air across the west come across the east as well in the wake of nor easter. we have freeze advisories for parts of the southeast this morning where it will be below freezing. you can see the next storm system developing over the southwest coming into the plane states giving us the potential for heavy rainfall, hail, damaging winds and tornadoes today. you see the area shaded in maroon pier the darker shade of red very likely. we see the potential for some damaging storms, including dallas up towards little rock down to the houston area. tomorrow a greater risk for the houston area. there is the flash flood threat today through friday. that system moves eastward to the panhandle to the southeast friday. the heavy rainfall and potential for severe weather really from houston all the way to ....

Again, we re expecting another storm over the next couple of days so authorities telling people to continue to be very careful and to stay home if they can, fred. because those pictures are hard to believe. the threat is very real and continues to be. camilla, thank you so much. brit lee is there in the weather center. it is now making its way across the country. does it pose the same kind of threat? no, snow, thankfully for the central plains. but the threat for severe weather starts to ramp up. if i show you radar right now, you see how very disorganized it was compared to last 24 hours. not a whole lot of precip. but back into the panhandle of texas and up into oklahoma, lightning strikes. we have moisture and warm, moist air and that there that threatens severe weather into this evening. areas highlighted in red, from tulsa to oklahoma city, north of wichita falls, significant damaging winds over 75 miles per hour. ....
