Category 1, maybe even cat going 2 over the islands. it will make its way over cuba, into the eastern portion of the gulf of mexico from. there that system is expected to make the right-hand turn back towards florida. at this point in time almost the entire state of florida is still in the cone. meaning if you live anywhere from, say, destin, florida, down through the keys, you still have the potential for these significant impacts from this particular storm. the reason why there is such a wide swath is because the models differ. the american model slower landfall on friday towards the panhandle. european model has it towards south florida and an earlier time of wednesday. rainfall amounts over skwraupl are similar. widespread four to six inches, higher amounts in the one foot range. it is more where the bullseye is because it all comes back to where the system makes landfall. let s talk about the second system. ....
