Providence opens three health clinics in school

The Papitto Foundation is paying for a third clinic at a school yet to be announced. Services are available to students, their families and school staff, and include screening and routine lab testing, routine physicals, medical prescriptions and counseling, among other services. Similar clinics around the country have shown decreases in chronic absenteeism and out-of-school suspensions as well as increases in both student and teacher attendance, according to a statement by the district.   Providence Community Health Centers will be the certified medical provider partner.
