Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], September 16 (ANI): Bombay High Court on Thursday dismissed Former Mumbai Commissioner of Police Param Bir Singh's petition challenging preliminary inquiries initiated against him by the Maharashtra government.

An internal confidential report of the Central Bureau of Investigation recommending a closure of the inquiry against former Maharashtra Minister Anil Desmukh has been leaked, in a huge embarrassment for the central agency.

Parab, also a minister of parliamentary affairs in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government led by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, has been asked by the ED to depose before the investigating officer of the case at the agency's office in south Mumbai on Tuesday, they said.
