Entering the lobby of Treasure Mountain Inn, I was directed down a hallway on the right, where a domed glass case and coffee window displayed the offerings of Park City Desserts & Coffee.

Rockwell on March 12 and 13 is the culmination of what general manager Xania V. Woodman has worked for all winter. “At the very outset of the season back in December, the big question was whether or not there would be a winter season,” Woodman said. “We weren’t sure at that point who we could get to the concert level of production that O.P. Rockwell is most known for.” So, she and the crew started small by dipping their toes into the snow with a little bit of live jazz music at the Rockwell Listening room located on the street level of The Rock building.
Photo by Kirsten Fox While the Fox School of Wine continues to host its weekly wine series classes every Saturday at Deer Valley’s Silver Baron Lodge, the school has set aside Friday nights for Recess at the Rock. The weekly wine-tasting event starts at 6 p.m. at the Rockwell Room at O.P. Rockwell, 268 Main St., and will be presented by Kirsten Fox, the school’s headmistress and executive sommelier, and her wine professors. Participants, who must be aged 21 and older, will have the chance to taste five wines priced under $30 during these sessions. The idea for Recess at the Rock occurred when Xania V. Woodman, general manager of O.P. Rockwell, read about the Weekend Wine Series a few weeks ago.
