Deputy principal Glenda Rapley would continue as acting principal until the arrival of George.
The Ministry of Education said it appointed a limited statutory manager (LSM) at the school, after the school board approached them last year asking for help.
A notice of direction to appoint an LSM was gazetted on October 22, 2020.
The ministry’s deputy secretary sector enablement and support, Katrina Casey, said the manager had taken over the board’s responsibility for employment and financial matters.
