Leader of Wirral Council, Janette Williamson The leader of Wirral Council came off social media last year due to the amount of abuse she was receiving. Labour Cllr Janette Williamson, who was elected into the top job in September 2020, said she has had abusive voicemails, emails and social media messages since taking on the role.
