The 2021 Craft Beer Marketing Awards were held last week, with Patchogue-based Blue Point Brewing Company taking the gold prize for best can design.
Winners are recognized with a “Crushie” award, a sculpture of a tattooed arm crushing a beer can to illustrate how breweries “crush it” with their innovation and creativity.
Blue Point took gold for its Zümfest, which the brewery describes online as “a beer AND a party.” It was introduced in 2020 for a virtual Oktoberfest, as beer enthusiasts looked for ways to stay entertained, and safe, amid the COVID-19 lockdown. ....
