New Delhi, Oct 11 (IANS) Shahid Latif, one of India's most wanted terrorists and a key conspirator in the 2016 Pathankot attack, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Pakistan's Sialkot, sources said.
Latif, aka Chota Sajid Bhai, was arrested in India in 1994 and was deported in 2010 after serving a 16-year jail term. He had been designated a terrorist under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 for being a member of the proscribed Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) by the Union home ministry in 2022.

"It is unfortunate that when it comes to our collective battle against terrorism, the international community has been unable to speak in one common voice," MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said.
Abdul Rauf Azhar, born in 1974 in Pakistan, has been involved in planning and executing numerous terror strikes in India including the Kandahar hijacking.
