Rimar, a Level 1 Trauma Surgical Intensive care nurse at University Hospital's  Main Campus, said she had no idea that a patient she cared for this summer had submitted her name to The DAISY Foundation. The DAISY Foundation and award was created by the family of Patrick Barnes. In 1999, Barnes, 33, was being treated in Seattle for a terminal illness.
